We Shine!

Hey iShiners! (As Courtney usually labels you)
What a weekend! We were drawn to the beautiful and busy city of Jo'burg with it's beautiful houses, gardens, music and recycled water;) Haha! While we were there, I got some time to think about what it means to S H I N E for God's kingdom... Let's move in on the details..

G O D LOVES Y O U! = Not only does He want you to know that, He wants you to show and reveal that to other people around you as well. THAT is why it is SO extremely important for us to shine! We don't shine to impress the people around us or to make them worship us, but to praise our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ.

To shine is truly a hard and complicated task. It takes years to be fulfilled and even then, we still struggle at times. Fortunately we do have a roll model to look up to:) Can you remember a day in your life when you asked yourself: Why am I so different? It is because of God's light shining in us and using us to reach others:) We are simply the instruments and He is the musician! Amen! That is why we all have a different purpose but stay one big family because of God living in us. Try and work harder to shine and to shine your light in the darkest nights, because THAT is when people see it the clearest!
God bless and keep shining! xx
Much love,

Hey iShiners!!;)

In a few days I'll be back at school.. not really amped about that..

This is me and my brother on the right:) We love eachother so much and I guess that is what family is about! Loving one another and caring and spending time together!! Some days you just want to stay in bed and stay at home.. and that is what I want to share with you guys:) What I've been realising these past months in boarding school was that I never felt that freedom before.. it's an unusual feeling but it's there! It's the feeling that you get when you realise that you control yourself and your own consequences. This phrase that we go through can either have a positive or negative effect. I guess it revolves around how you manage it. I know we sometimes want to get free of this grip that you think your parents have over your life, but just remember this: Your parents love you so much! It truly breaks their heart when you take all that they do for you, for granted. Just take a single moment out of your day to say to them how much you appreciate what they have done for you! Parents are amazing and I love mine so much! Obviously we sometimes get annoyed with them, but just hold on to the thought that they love you and want the best for you.

PRAY FOR THEM!- It might seem weird to you, but praying is what God wants you to do! He is like a parent. Like a Father He is to us and His love never fails! Don't forget that:)

So when you feel like going to a movie with your friends or wanting to get out of your parents grasp, know that they love you with all their hearts and strive to be the best child you can be for them, and most importantly, for God!

I love you guys,

Friendships..

Hi everyone! I hope that this weeks iShine series meant something to you all and I'm sure it did! Stay tuned to iShine All Starz every Saturday morning 08:00-09:00 on channel 331!

Sometimes in life there are things that all teenagers struggle with.. one of the hardest things I think we take for granted are friendships. This week school was quite tough for me.. not only did it feel as if nobody understood me, it even felt as if God had just disappeared! We intend to think that relationships with other people are just things that happen naturally. Unfortunately, it's not allways like that. Everything has a purpose and no one can ever be to rich or to important to ignore a friend! Never. Sure, sometimes we get upset about something and don't really want to talk about it, but just remember that the true friends are those who help you through your struggles! Don't forget that!
This week I had a stuggle with one of my closest friends and we didn't talk to eatchother for 2 days.. but you know what? God says in His word that when you forgive, you are a whole new person inside and the yoke gets lifted off your shoulders.. what a promise! Me and my friend sorted things out and I can honestly say, it feels SO much better!
So just remember this:
Friendships are a special and unique love. A love that isn't selfish, nor jealous.
It is something that God wants us to experience!
Matthew 5:9- "God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the Children of God."
Lots of love and blessings

I am truly amazed at how much the Lord has blessed me this week. Just wrote a new song based on Nehemia 4:14-"Don't fear the enemy! Remember Me." God has a plan for all of our lives and I am confident that iShine will give every teenager a positive attitude about that..
Be blessed!
